S&P CapitalIQ consensus predicts a 19% YoY fall in EPS at $2.87 and a 4% YoY growth in revenue at $8.18bn.

Netflix has shifted focus from global streaming paid net adds to overall revenue and profitability.

Netflix no longer offers guidance for paid net adds, as management wants investors to focus less on quarterly net adds that can be lumpy. Netflix is developing additional revenue streams, such as advertising and paid sharing.

Q4 had +7.66 million net adds; Q1 last year had -0.20 million net adds, making it an easy lap.

The company launched a new, lower priced ad-supported plan in November 2022.
