Microsoft (MSFT) is scheduled to announce its Q2 (Dec) earnings today post-market close, followed by a conference call at 5:30pm ET.

The FactSet consensus estimates a 19% year-over-year increase in non-GAAP EPS to $2.77 and a 16% rise in revenue to $61.14 billion. MSFT typically releases its 8-K around 4:03 pm ET, followed by website updates. The company also provides next quarter's revenue guidance during the call.

Microsoft's operations span several segments: Productivity and Business Processes (including Office 365, LinkedIn, Dynamics 365), Intelligent Cloud (featuring Azure, SQL Server, Windows Server), and More Personal Computing (covering Activision, Windows, Surface, Xbox).

This quarter marks the first inclusion of results from the $69 billion Activision Blizzard acquisition, completed in mid-October. The addition of this major video game publisher is expected to boost DecQ results.

The Azure segment remains a focal point, having grown by 28% in constant currency in Q1 (Sep), surpassing the 25-26% guidance. Azure's growth trend halted its decline, showing a slight uptick in SepQ. Despite expected moderation in growth rates due to Azure's size, its continued market share expansion is noteworthy.
